Though no Mark LT will return to the U.S. or Canada, Mexico gets its own special edition for the 2010 model year. Lincoln’s two previous pickup efforts were met with limited interest in the Canada and United States,  but that didn’t stop Mexico from snapping up about 6,000 of them last year to make the luxo-lined pickup the best-selling Lincoln-badged vehicle in that market.

The new Lincoln are equipped with a new style include the front grille and other special features outside, the Mark LT is otherwise very similar to the Ford F-150 Platinum Edition that was designed to replace it, at least in concept, in most markets. The Lincoln  Mark LT  is powered by a  same tried-and-true 5.4-liter, 310-horsepower V8 seen in the F-150.

For the interior, the Mark LT gets unique Lincoln badging throughout, special wood tone, matte-finish trim and what appears to be more upscale leather than the F-150. The Mark LT serves as a range-topper for the Ford Motor Company truck lineup because the Mexican market doesn’t get the top-line Platinum Edition trim for the Ford truck, which is called Lobo instead of F-150. The sale of  Mark LT will begin late this month, though pricing has yet to be revealed.
